After signing the hook of B.o.B.'s #1 smash "Nothin' on You" and the hook on Travie McCoy's "Billionaire," Bruno Mars released his own solo single "Just The Way You Are." A laid back love song appreciating the beauty that comes with someone's natural "flaws," the tune was an instant smash and became Mars' first solo #1 hit.
Interestingly enough, his debut album is chop full of ballads similar to "Just" and Bruno Mars may have found his niche by returning to the old school feel of soulful love songs. His second single "Grenade" follows a similar pattern. Thus, Mars is a breath of fresh air among a sky full of re-hashed Euro-pop tunes.
