I find it hilarious that I grew up in South Carolina but never listened to country music until I came to D.C. Released as the third single "These Are My People" is one of the countriest songs I have ever heard. It was also his 3rd consecutive #1 country single. My family used to want to kill me every time I played this song but I absolutely adore it.
Can't you feel that "These are my people, this where I come from, we're giving this life everything we've got and then some, it always pretty but it's real, it's the way we were made wouldn't have it any other way!" I feel it.
