Leona Lewis burst on the scene in late 2007/early 2008 with her worldwide smash "Bleeding Love." Her debut album "Spirit" was filled with similar contemporary ballads and one in particular, "Yesterday" is a personal highlight. In fact, as an undergraduate film maker, I recorded a music video of the song with an actress who went to college with me.
The song tells the story of a love that has end; however, Leona proclaims that as "she looks back on yesterday" that no matter what, no one can ever take away those moments that they once shared. Those moments, to Leona especially, will always have a special place in her heart. The high notes that are prominent throughout the song showcase Leona's naturally ability to flat out, sang and sang she does on this track.
