I am a HUGE Mariah Carey fan and "Ribbon" off of her most recent studio album "The Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel" gives me everything that I need. Co-written and co-produced by The-Dream the mid-tempo is reminiscent of some her classics like "Fantasy" and "Honey" (unfortunately it was released as a single).
When the #1 songstress sings "Baby, I could spend my life with you...wrapped up, packed up, ribbon with on bow on it" I feel that she's talking directly to me. That's what I love about Mariah. The majority of her classic material is so relatable and transcends time. "Ribbon" is no different.
